IR remote on EX3 not working
Hi there,
I am trying to get my IR Remote to work with the EX3. Tried everything, and yes I did turn it on in the menu. Then I remembered that I had the camera replaced by sony one time. I kept the old accessories though such as the remote. Is it possible that the IR remote is camera specific? Meaning it wouldn’t work with another camera? If so is there any way to actually activate/sync it with my new EX3?

I have 6 EX1r’s and have no idea which remote came with each one so it is probably not camera specific. On the EX1r’s you have to push two buttons at the same time. The record button and the one next to it. Are you doing that?

Yes I tried that. But nothing works. No zoom no record.
And I checked the Remote with an LCD Photo cam There is a light shining. so the battery works.

The EX-3 only recieves the signal from the front. You are not trying to activate it from behind the camera are you?
