Make sure you have rendered all your clips. Titles can slow down playback if not rendered.

I have had the same problem with a Blue Snowball USB mic. It is unusable as well due to low volume. Stay away from it too.

I would edit as is and let compressor convert it to progressive.

I’m not sure about that but I would just use XDCAM Transfer to re-import the clips you need and then just use the “reconnect Media” option under the file menu (I think thats where it is).

Is your DVCAM footage in 4X3 or 16X9? If it is 16X9 I would recomend keeping your project at 16X9. Is there a reason you want to change it to 4X3?

David, you got it! The scale in the canvas was 117%. When I changed it back to 100% it looked great. Thanks for your help big time!

We have had problems with the 500 gig drive. When shooting with the 128 gig drive there were no problems but as soon as we changed to the 500 we started dropping frames and it stopped recording. This happened many times and made our recording useless. We finally got the 128 gig drive downloaded and used it again with no problems. Any ideas?

As of this morning Adorama had them in stock for $1995. Do a search as I remember seeing a couple other places that supposedly had them as well. Not sure how accurate this is though.
