    Hey all

I am having a few problems with Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 for mac when working with HD footage that has been shot on EX1 cameras and converted using XDCam transfer. Basically, when I place footage onto the timeline and then place another clip alongside I am experiencing blockiness on the playback just as the two clips cut (there is no transition between the 2 clips). It also appears on the render but doesn’t always appear in the same place when I come back to the edit. Its as if the cache has been cleared (like in after effects).

Any idea what it is and how I can get around it?

    Cheers all

Is your sequence setup for the EX codec and correct frame rate? Make sure it matches your footage or you can have problems.

I’ve just had a look and there were some differences, so I have created a new sequence and dropped a clip into the new sequence and clicked yes to the match sequence dialogue box, I then pasted the old timeline into the new, but it still seems to be doing the same thing, again in different places.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks
