    Hi –

Are they set at even increments in the motion tab? Avoid anything that isn’t a whole number… See if that helps.

Yes, that sure would hit the spot! Here, have one of mine!

By the way, thanks for the help. I had already sussed this out. Must have been an early senior-moment, as I was well aware of the thumbnail cache. Some days even the simple stuff just flies over my head!

Thanks. We are aiming at a total upgrade in the near future, but that doesn’t help me right now 🙂

It has always amazed me how titling software has, going back years now, always lagged behind
the editing apps. I wish Adobe had decided to jump into this world, considering that they pretty
much own the market with PS and Illustrator.

EQ the audio. Strip away most of the low end and boost around 5K.

    Hi –

iCal comes close, but I’d love a cross-platform compatible solution, as well as one that allows categories to get their own colors, etc…which (from what I know) doesn’t work within iCal.

I will check out the link.

    Thanks!

    Apple +
    Apple –

If a clip is highlighted, you will zoom to its position
If a clip is not highlighted, you zoom to the playhead position

If you’re a former Avid cutter, it takes some getting used to…but you will!

    Kevin –

You may be on to something. My clips are quite long, since the shooter was very efficient when he shot and there were few busted takes. It follows that (as I think you’re suggesting) the system has to load these long clips, even if it’s just playing a short portion of each. Maybe I should start to subclip this stuff out more, eh?

    Thax –

I appreciate the tip, which I had tried before. Did it again to see if it made any difference and it didn’t help. Got a spinning beach ball minutes later…

I have the Internet disconnected, no removable drives in the fireware ports, only one seq open, 50% screen size on both viewer and canvas, safe RT, low quality audio, no other apps open. I am just stumped! My G5 is a dual 2GHz model.

    Sheesh!

I’d also trying compressing it. Sometimes that helps cover some of the differences.

However, if the location sound has different characteristics (reverb, timbre) due to the
area it was shot in (such as close to a reflective surface or in the middle of the field) you will stuggle with that…

Did you ever get that drive to work? Just wondering for future reference.
