You’re right Steve, I have been told but I thought I would double check; having a nightmare getting this footage to them, should have used the firestore then I could have sent them a series of 2gb files. Look’s like it’s going to be Fedex.

Mm, food for thought guys, thanks; it looks like the Apple solution may be the best one if it’s unlimited file size, I use yousendit for files up to 2gb, but this one’s a biggy.

I’ll try that, I think I need a new cable as I couldn’t fine one with the tiny connector for the camera end.

I’m quite a luddite when it comes to updates and also quite paranoid, so I keep my Mac off the net, but out of interest is your .Mac account something you pay extra for or is that a built in Mac thing for Mac customers?

Also you advised to google ftp sites, is there a particular one that you’ve used or heard of that’s good?

    Many thanks

  • Yeah you’re right there, though because of an annoying error message and the fact that the icons don’t show up as pictures on my PC, I can’t tell; I suppose I could always count the number of files.

Sorry Michael, I’ll try and be more clear

I’m attaching the camera via a 4 to 4 pin firewire port to my PC laptop and then I click on the P2 icon and try to copy the contents folder along with the clip.txt doc over to a folder on my desktop.

When I do the same thing on the Mac it works fine.
