I also used to get the dropped frame error when I used an external with firewire; I reckon this could be the source of your problems, as I said in my earlier post (sorry to recommend a solution that costs money) you need to either add a second internal drive or get an esata card to connect one or both of your externals.

In the mean time set up your video and audio on the same drive and see what happens.

Not quite sure what you mean here, did you mean that your clips are each on separate sequences and you don’t want to re-export them one by one?

If so why not stick them all on one sequence and then re-export them, I think that’s the best you’re going to get, as far as I’m aware, there’s no magic way to open sequences that you’ve already done in a new size. You’re just going to have to slog it out I’m afraid.

Just a thought, the dropped frames message can pop up if you’re stressing the drives, I noticed that you seem to only have 1 internal drive?

If so have you consigned your scratch disks to the external drive?

Also, if those externals have esata connections, I would get myself a good esata card, (if they’re still selling the pro without a built in esata connection) and use the drives that way, if you’re going to do a lot of HD editing and grading then you’ll need the extra oomph.

Mm, depends how dark, the problem with light is if the information is there, then you’ll get a realistic looking lighten or darken, if not you won’t.

But again you want to do this in colour in the primary room, next to your colour wheels are three sliders, the black & white ones on the outside are for light.

The colour wheel on your left is for your low lights, the middle mid tones and the right high lights, the closer your low lights are to 0% on the luma graph in your left window the closer to black you’ll have.

But as I said if it was too dark when you shot the footage, then it’s just going to look a bit greyish if you lighten it up too much, going from dark to light is going to be easier, or rather will probably look better.

The opposite of blue is yellow so if you want more blue you need to take out yellow and add blue; however I wouldn’t use the 3 way for this, I’d take it into colour and use the primary room to do this.

It’s not that complicated and you’ll get much better results

Cool, thanks guys, I think the overlapping with the squares is happening because I started adjusting them, they started off as the same size but I don’t think I got them totally square to begin with.

Any tips on how best to make sure they’re perfect squares and to know how big they are, therefore being able to push the Z axis of the anchor point exactly half way back?

I don’t like to use the built in one because you can’t seem to change the colour and so I end up getting confused as I’m building the cube.

As for the letters I thought I was zoomed out when I set them and I set them off the page, but I’ll try again and make sure I do RAM previews from now.
