Try “*/%R.*” – this should work for both Red and 5D.

Alternatively, you can set it for Red, add all the Red media. Then set it for 5D, and add all the 5D media to the media pool.

After updating to OSX 10.6.5, if anybody is having an issue with CUDA/Resolve, please install the 3.1.17 CUDA driver from NVIDIA’s website.

    https://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cuda-3.1.17-driver.html

Please note that you will still get a CUDA warning (Update Required) at bootup – please ignore that for now.

    Regards,

Just to add to the excellent explanation by Giles:

You can also use the “Lum Mix” (also referred to Make Lum sometimes) control in the Primary Widget to set the node to a 3-ch mode instead of 4-ch mode if you didn’t want to set the entire project to work in 3-ch mode.

November 9, 2010 at 2:17 pm in reply to: Full Database Backup

The pgAdmin tool has a nice GUI to backup/restore your databases. This is included with the Resolve install (search in spotlight – pgAdmin).

When backing up, remember to add the .backup extension to the filename, else you will have to rename it in Finder.

When restoring, you will have to create a new database, and restore to that database to avoid over-writing the current database.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,
    Rohit

  • Ok. Having that in would definitely cause a drop in performance. For now, you will have to run with that.

With the next update (7.0.3), you can remove that setting.

  • 4. Can you test with “4,096×2,048” to see if it makes any difference.

    5. Can you try setting it to RED defaults to see if it makes any difference.

  • Hi Craig,

Here are a few questions to try to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Is your system res set to HD?

    2. Do you have 6GB or 8GB RAM? (for optimum performance, have pairs of 3 on Nehalem)

    3. What FPS are you getting at 1/4th res?

    4. What is the resolution of the Red files?

    5. Is your decode set to RED defaults? Perhaps, there is some clip processing being applied which is slowing it down.

    6. Do you get RT playback with HD DPX files?

October 28, 2010 at 4:28 pm in reply to: toggle power window shape display

There is a function to do this, but is currently available on the Resolve panels only (both Linux and Mac). This lets you have the window shape show either on:

    1. Both GUI and SDI
    2. GUI only
    3. Disabled on both GUI and SDI
