Does anyone know of a dedicated shortcut to toggle the shape overlay of a power window on/off, on either the Wave or keyboard?

The best I’ve come up with is to click on “cursor” on the wave to turn it off, and the click on the power window button to turn it back on. This works but it does also pop up the cursor.

I’d also love to be able to see the shape overlay on just my interface monitor and not the output – I always liked how that was an option in color – it allowed me to see where my shape was and the final product, more or less at the same time.

There is a function to do this, but is currently available on the Resolve panels only (both Linux and Mac). This lets you have the window shape show either on:

    1. Both GUI and SDI
    2. GUI only
    3. Disabled on both GUI and SDI

Boy, I’d love to have a big ole menu where I can map all these obscure functions.

That or the funds for some resolve panels.

Is there a similar function for putting the qualification highlight only on the GUI? Is that only on the Resolve panel? The Wave panel has a handy on/off but I would love to keep it off the client’s display…

Boy, this “only on dedicated BM panel” business is really getting old. I personally really start to get ticked off of not being able to do a LOT of functions, unless I spend $30k to go with my $1k software.

Some people spend $20K to go with their ‘free’ software 😀

Rohit, are there development kits available (like the ones you would provide Euphonix etc to develop panel support)? I’d imagine if we found the correct command to send Resolve it wouldn’t be hard to add all these little functions to some mapping software.

Otherwise, any idea if enabling all these panel-only features is something that will happen in a patch or two?

Thanks for the feedback. The next update will have a few additional features that are currently only on the DaVinci Resolve control surface and we continue to review the requests and implement what we can as time permits.

You can actually map it using MAC OSX system preferences. Go to the keyboard shortcuts and select Davinci. create a shortcut for it View/Window Outline/On and there you go.
