The “Preview – Best-Full” is just for viewing it on your computer. It has nothing to do with the way it will finally render out. Set it on “Preview-Auto”.
You’ll be able to view what you’re working on much better because your computer won’t have to refresh and work so hard to keep up with the “Best” setting.Roger Bansemer

I use ripple more than anything else when putting together a program.
I’ve taken the “Customize Keyboard” option and made the Caps Lock a hot key so I can quickly switch between the movement of my events. I find that saves me a lot of time and it’s much more handy to use than the “ctrl-shift-F”Roger Bansemer

Note that there is a bug that affects the Color Curve FX in SVP12, and results in the FX not being applied/copied to the Master Video track when you generate it. It has been reported to Sony.
I’m not sure what you saying here. I did render a track yesterday that had curves applied to it with Vegas12 and the rendered file seemed really dark to me. Is that what you are referring to?

You can’t. Any effects you put on an event will be removed when expanding the multi-track editing. They always need to be put on afterwards.

This same type thing was happening to me until John Rofrano figured it out, at least the problem I was having. I would work on a Vegas12 project and all was fine then one day it would crash constantly when I tried to open it.
The problem was that for some reason even though trying to open the project in Vegas12, Vegas12 was in fact trying to open the project as a Vegas10 project.
The solution was to open the project not within Vegas12 but to go to explorer, find the project12 veg file, right click and “open as” as Vegas12 project.Roger Bansemer

Thanks everyone for all the tips on the questionable hard drive.
It’s not very full so that isn’t an issue. It’s be defragmented also. In fact Windows seems to keep them defragmented all the time.
I can’t really say if it’s been over time that it’s acting very slow but it just doesn’t seem to access files as quickly as my other drives.
I’ve never heard of the “indexing”. What is that?

Well, my gremlin is back and I can’t open any vegas12 veg files. I thought this might have been a problem with my laptop but it’s happening on my PC now. Darn!

Hi Steve,
I had the 64 bit version installed but it didn’t show up. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and there it is. Should have tried that first I guess.Roger Bansemer

I’ve been editing on my laptop while we have been traveling but got back home and installed Vegas12 and it seems to be opening all my Vegas12 veg files OK. I hope it keeps up.
I did notice that when I downloaded Vegas12 this time I got an extra feature that could be installed called profilm or something like that. I didn’t get that option when I installed it on my laptop about a month ago. I’m not even sure what that new additional feature is?Roger Bansemer
