More problems when using Vegas 12 and BCC8. All I need do is touch the event or run the cursor to the event and we get the crash and burn that the VEGAS PRO software has become most famous for. I am still waiting for a response for the pixelization in transition problem and will now have to probably wait for the answer to a fix for this…..Any ideas?

BCC8.1 and Vegas 12 worked for me when I tried it. I was able to add the extruded text and change a few settings. I even went back to the timeline and changed a few more settings.

Mark, when I first started the project it was fine. Saving the .veg and opening it to work some more is where the problems started. I can’t so much as click on it without crashing. Boggles the mind to how screwed up things can get anymore. I have to question whether it is Sony or Boris. If I were a betting my bet would be Sony.

This same type thing was happening to me until John Rofrano figured it out, at least the problem I was having. I would work on a Vegas12 project and all was fine then one day it would crash constantly when I tried to open it.
The problem was that for some reason even though trying to open the project in Vegas12, Vegas12 was in fact trying to open the project as a Vegas10 project.
The solution was to open the project not within Vegas12 but to go to explorer, find the project12 veg file, right click and “open as” as Vegas12 project.

That worked as you described, Roger. Thanks to you for the direction and Johnny Roy for figuring this out.. Just another work around to add to the others. I sincerely hope things smooth out for the better with this software.
    Thanks again.
