That certainly is true but with the mpeg4 files I have found that they are so compressed unless you have an extremely fast computer (despite the recent updates) those clips from the camera will be extremely jerky when trying to edit. I’d like to know more about this though as I’m having real issues with the new file format.
Until the recent update I had to convert all those clips to something else like AVI in order for Vegas to run them smoothly. -
I had the same issue only on an introduction. I highlighted that region of clips and did a “save as”. In my case I saved as an M2t file which is what the rest of my clips were. I believe Vegas still has to render it however but at least all the parts and information are there in one piece.

January 12, 2010 at 11:20 pm in reply to: Copying text media (subtitles) between projects?Just open a second instance of Vegas so you have two copies open.
Highlight the track or tracks you want to copy.
Do a Ctrl-C and then go back to the other Vegas you have open and paste it. I think you have to have the audio and video track already in place to drop the clips in to. -

January 11, 2010 at 1:02 am in reply to: Vegas 9 Pro and full hd – rendering problemsWish I had an answer. I render a project and 8 out of 10 times I have to start over as it just freezes up during the render and always at different points. Eventually it completes with enough tries.
I’ve left messages with Sony but they NEVER reply. I’ve reinstalled, updated, you name it…
You would think after paying $700 (or whatever it was) for a program, it would work better.
I’m have Vegas9 32 bit installed and use Windows7 64bit. I had Vegas 64 bit installed and Vegas would crash every few minutes. -
I’m not an expert by any means but I have had similiar issues and found that the property settings of my project had something to do with it. I’ve changed those properties and sometimes have resolved the issue.

I have just tried the PluralEyes and find it very useful and accurate. I did have to check the “try very hard” button option for it to do its job. I often spend quite a bit of time syncing up three cameras and this makes it easy.

Thanks for those tips. This forum is really great.

I had the same problem. I finally uninstalled everything to do with Vegas including registry entries and reinstalled. The problem seems to have been resoved.

I’m having the same problem. My project “stopped” working at least 20 times before I could finish it. It never happened when I was using XP but now I’m using Windows7 32bit.
What’s more I can’t render my project for while trying to make an “architect widescreen mp2”.
Im thinking it may have something to do with the m2ts files but don’t know. Mine do have a GPS feature built in to the video. Here’s a message I get after it stops rendering.

You are right. It is a bit confusing. Right now it doesn’t look like there is much advantage in running Vegas 64 bit. I have a fast computer so is there any advantage at all in using Vegas 64 bit with my Windows 7 64bit?
