    Hi there.

I am doing a batch render script out of vegas 9c and these are the settings.

    Project: 16/9 1.22 AVI
    Media: Same

Exporting to: WMV square pixel 392×240

The issue I’m having (that I didn’t have in vegas 5) is that when I set the batch it is rendering out black bars at the top and bottom. It’s not stretching my video to fill the output frame size.

I understand that vegas has that on the individual render options but is it not embedded in the script to expand render to output settings? I dropped in my vegas5 js script and it’s doing the same thing. Is there a way to add that to the script?

I do so much using this script and I really need it to work. Please help me.

When you go to FILE-RENDER AS, you can create your own render templates.
After that, you can select those templates when you run the batch render script

Hi there. Thanks for the response.

I have created my own templates. They still don’t appear to let me note that it shouldn’t be “letterboxed”.

In Vegas the “do not letterbox” selection is in the file/render options panel but not inside the template. My default in “render as” is set to “Stretch video to fill output frame size” already.

Has anyone used the batch render script with 1.22 non square pixel footage?

I’m not an expert by any means but I have had similiar issues and found that the property settings of my project had something to do with it. I’ve changed those properties and sometimes have resolved the issue.

Hi there. Thanks for the feedback but after another couple of hours of trying to tweak this it’s not working still.

For some reason it’s working fine in the render as dialogue but not in the batch render script.

Can someone troubleshoot this for me? I know it works in Vegas5 but not 9c.

Create a 16/9 sd project set to 1.22.
Create a template as 392 by 240 in wmv and save it.
Batch render out as that format.

Please let me know what you find. I’m thinking it must have something to do with 9c and how it reads scripts. I can’t seem to find the “output frame” command in either script…

I would hate to lose this script as I seem to use it every week for dozens of things.

Hi i was seeing your topic cause i got some issues with batch render script, was useful to know when you create a new template in render window properties then u have this after showed on the options format of batch render window. Thanks a lot. I have no 1.22 footage to test the problems u talk about but u can try on the video tab adjustments is an option to set squared or hdv pixel aspect ratio.
