Oops! OK. Good advice. Will wait to do any captioning until I receive back from the finish editor the changes.

Right click on your audio clip, go to “Switches” and then click on “Normalize”

There’s a program called Particle Illusion that works for just such things.
Also there’s something you might be able to use at:

I’ll be relocating soon to the St. Augustine/Jacksonville, Florida area.
I’m not wanting to rent a deck as I know nothing about how to work one.

Do you do that sort of thing?

Thanks for the info. It’s great to get answers so quickly to problems that would otherwise take maybe hours from trial by error.

I’m sure not the expert on any of this but I’m saving lots of time using multicam. I use to put several camera tracks on top of each other and I would basically have to guess where to switch cameras, split a clip on the top track, drag it to the right to view the camera below, etc. I had a pretty good idea of where to split clips but it was cumbersome to say the least.
Using multicam I can easily switch between clips and then if I want later I can still move camera 1 to a different track and the edits will still be the same length, etc.
After I separate them I can continue editing from there as if nothing were ever put into multicam to begin with. At least that’s how I’m seeing it.

I felt the same way about using Multicam until I reluctantly gave it a try but now I find it helps immensely. With the method John told me, I can edit between cameras with multicam and then if I choose easily and quickly separate them out and not feel so locked in.

Just to clarify, there is no way to do this once it’s in multicam but only at the event level clip by clip? I was hoping it could be done somehow using Track Motion since it’s many clips.
Not a huge issue though. I can go clip by clip easy enough.
    Thanks John.

  • One way would be to take your “selection edit too” (the one with the arrow pointing up) and highlight all the audio on your timeline and then right click on your audio track, go to the channels drop down and click on “combine”

Render it and just don’t save when you close the project or save your project with a different name.

The default on Vegas for my dynamic ram seemed to be 350. I changed it to 0 and it does seem to be smoother. Can you describe what the dynamic ram is suppose to do and how best to determine what it should be? Thanks as always.
