    Hello,

I shoot with a sony fx7. The video is captured to sony vegas 9.0 in several clips. (Too big for one continuous clip) When I put the clips into the time line, there is a second or two “freeze” between clips. What I mean by this is the video just stops for a second or two and then starts up again.

My questions are why does this happen and how can I get rid of the “freeze”. I would like to create a seemless transition between clips.

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Set your preview to “Preview/Auto.”
    Set Dynamic RAM to “0”
Turn off/disable any anti-virus and any background apps.
This should cure your problem, assuming you have a reasonably fast system.

The default on Vegas for my dynamic ram seemed to be 350. I changed it to 0 and it does seem to be smoother. Can you describe what the dynamic ram is suppose to do and how best to determine what it should be? Thanks as always.

Thanks for the help, although it did not work. I do have a fast system. I even cleaned off the desktop. There is still a freeze between clips. Is there anything else I can try?

    Happy 4th.
