    Click completely off the mask.
Click the “Normal Edit Tool” (i.e. the normal cursor).
Click the mask to select it again.
Click on a point and drag it to the new location.

    Roger,

Switch from the ‘anchor creation tool’ (pen+) to the ‘normal edit tool’ (arrow). The first time you will move the whole mask, because all nodes are selected. So, click in an area away from your mask to deselect, then you will be able to click and drag an individual node. If you are correcting a node position you must be on the keyframe, or a new one will be created, making an animation. if you are animating be sure to select a point on the time line for the new keyframe. Too many times I really wrecked my work by not moving in the timeline and it’s a drag when you find out!!!

Thanks for the info. It’s great to get answers so quickly to problems that would otherwise take maybe hours from trial by error.

    folks,

I have tried everything (except the solution) but I cannot seem to freely edit the points in mask path. I have selected the normal edit tool, I have clicked off the path, I have reselected. I can’t just move the point. It insists on making curves and severely limiting where I can move the point to.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong here.

    Please advise.
