You can *never* playback 1440×1080 QuickTime Animation clips from *one* (1) Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB. You *cannot* playback lossless avi files either. You must have a RAID if you want to be able to playback those files.
So yes, what you experience with those files are normal for your system.
Try the CineForm codec. They can and will playback from a single hard drive and will give you the quality you are looking for. https://www.cineform.com

I think the reason is because HVR-V1E is a PAL camera.
I am not sure that you can switch it to NTSC, just the way one can do with the HVR-Z1E.

I use Win XP Pro x64 and the drivers for the graphic card is 158.22.
I have the very same problem on Win XP Pro with the same drivers, 158.22.
The latest drivers are 162.18, but i have not installed them yet.

No real answer, but i have the same problems during capture with a EN8800GTX on PPro 2.0 and PPro CS3.
I have tried the latest drivers to no avail.

If you want to do a Lift edit or a Extract edit you can just set an In Point and an Out Point and use the shortcuts for Lift and Extract, there is no need to select the clip. What do you want to do with the clip/s?
Use Alt+F4 to close the Trim Window.

That keyboard shortcut do exist in PPro 1.x and was for some stange reason taken away in PPro 2.0. Big mistake imo.
I used Workspaces in PPro 1.x to easily/fast switch focus between windows sometimes, but in PPro 2.0 this dont work so well. If i in PPro 1.x saved a workspace with my Timeline active the Timeline always became that active window when i launched that Workspace. In PPro 2.0 that trick works one out of ten times wich makes it worthless. Maybe Adobe borrowed some Random Seed from AE for the Workspaces in PPro 2.0… 😉
I sure hope Adobe gets this shortcut and the other ones they forgot in PPro 2.0 back into PPro 2.5 again. 🙂

I do agree what Aanarav writes regarding DVD-ROM’s. I have solved this issue with my whiiining DVD drive that speeds at full speed all the time and that the last word/s is skipped by copying my discs to my harddrive and use a virtual DVD drive to watch them. It works like a charm and no more whiiining DVD drive, no more skipped last words! 🙂 I use Nero ImageDrive as my virtual DVD drive and it is included in NERO 7.
I just wanted to share this! 🙂
