Focusing windows
Is there any keyboard shortcut that toggles the focus from one window to the other (Source to Project to Timeline, etc.) in PPro 2.0?
I understand that in previous versions you could do it with Ctrl + Tab. Why on earth would Adobe remove this? Is there any work-around or way to customize this for ourselves?
Sorry if this has been answered before. I did the Advanced Search and found the question asked, but no answer.

I’m afraid that went away with the intro of PP Pro. It’s not really much of an issue if you work from the source monitor, but if you like to work in the timeline, yeah, it’s gonna be a bit of a pain.

Then I guess the next question would be do the other keyboard presets (those for FCP4 and Avid DV Exp. 3.5) which are included in PPro 2.0 contain a shortcut for this?
I can’t believe Adobe left this out, particularly out of an app they are billing as “pro”.

Nope, this shortcut doesn’t exist on PPro (That I know of) and it was discussed a while back with no solutions.
I think they figured they weren’t really important after that switch to the docked style. I do agree that this probably was a mistake.

That keyboard shortcut do exist in PPro 1.x and was for some stange reason taken away in PPro 2.0. Big mistake imo.
I used Workspaces in PPro 1.x to easily/fast switch focus between windows sometimes, but in PPro 2.0 this dont work so well. If i in PPro 1.x saved a workspace with my Timeline active the Timeline always became that active window when i launched that Workspace. In PPro 2.0 that trick works one out of ten times wich makes it worthless. Maybe Adobe borrowed some Random Seed from AE for the Workspaces in PPro 2.0… 😉
I sure hope Adobe gets this shortcut and the other ones they forgot in PPro 2.0 back into PPro 2.5 again. 🙂
