Im also thinking to get this camera.. did you get the new Pana viewfinder with it too.. the BW one..

iam shooting in Asia and find a blue-ish back light works well with very dark hair colour.. but for blond/lighter would usually go for a warmer back light.. (besides when a specific “look” is required)

As long as you have a large source soft light,close to the subject.. 3/4,s angle should be fine..

Sorry if Im telling you stuff you already know..

PS get the sound recordist to carry heavy gear 🙂 they are always counter balanced by the weight of their wallets..

you will also need 240v UK and 220v Germany bulbs for your lights..

I can play AVC 100 through P2CMS on macbook pro.. but initially had the same problem.. sorry cant remember exactly but it was a download from the ever confusing pana site..

Hi there

A fellow HDX900 owner here.Does it happen with WB in pre set mode.. or only when you have made a manual balance.. ie A or B..

Havnt noticed this in my camera .. but I usually only shoot with the preset WB position..

For documentary work,with schedules actually getting tighter and tighter.. where pretty much the wide angle zoom is on the camera most of the time.. and as a necessity to grab the shots needed .. is not the S35 sensor a problem .Obviously impossible to hand hold a 35mm zoom lens.. I know there are smaller light weight ones… but they dont have the range of the 2/3 wide angle zooms available now..

But for drama ofcourse would be great.. and agree also.. the F3 and the AF100.. are just ugly 🙂 and the VF at the back etc..

Yeah I always pull any safety taps.. tapes, cards, disc,s.. had never heard about it before re P2 cards.
Can also be a problem with CF cards..
