Ehm,
Jake, I’m sorry to tell you that Michael is right.
FSI (with internal LUT (A) made by manufacturer) + LUT (B made by user)= good callibration
But LUT A cannot be calibrated without specific instrument that are rentable in USA but not in europe.
Michael says that he cannot calibrate the internal LUT of the FSI.
He can only act on luma, contrast, saturation but he can’t deeply modify the internal settings. This is not the case with some projectors, for example with my RS35 from JVC it’s possible to modify a lot of things inside the projector with menus. And like steve Shawn explains, “try to be as close as possible with internal settings of the projector before to build an external LUT (B).”
In this way, I understand Michael when he says it’s not possible to modify internal settings of the FSI without a specific kit.

Certains membres de ce forum sont un peu chiants parfois.
Peux-tu m’en dire plus sur le projectordesign, prends-tu un projecteur avec lampe xéon ? Toujours dans un espace REC709 ou DCI.

Hello,
If we output in Full range the only thing we have to tell to other softwares is to read the file as REC709. In Nuke we just select REC709 to have the good mapping. Am I right ?
Even in FCP the render in Full range is interpreted as REC709.
That’s why I don’t understand when we need to rend in legally ? Is it when we output on tape ?
I’m very sorry with these bascis questions, before this new option everything was clear in my mind, but this new option disturbs my spirit.

September 11, 2011 at 6:25 pm in reply to: Poll: How much would you pay for Resolve panels?Hello Peter,
Then you mean that BM won’t support Tangent Element ?
You know, a good thing would be to propose a cheaper BM Panel, with less functions. A kind of light version of DaVinci resolve Panel. For a price around 4000-5000 USD.

Hello,
Thank’s all for your help.
I need to play them. Then the idea of Vladimir is a good idea.
But, that’s true, it could be good to be able to do that in “clip” mode with a special shortcut.
