    Hello,

I’m thinking to change my wave for a MC color. I need your advises.

With “tangent Wave” I have to adjust rings very slowly, because if I go to fast, nothing change. It skids (don’t know if it is the good word)

What about MC color ? Is it more responsive ? Is there also a problem if we turn rings too fast ?

What about the quality of MC color, Wave is very “plastic” ?

What about MC transport, is it true is doesn’t work with Resolve ?

And final question, is there someone there who tested both, and who could give me his opinion ?

I wouldn’t trade for the MC Color. I would trade up to the JL Cooper Eclipse. It’s much more solid feeling, and more intuitive to use then either. I can actually work really fast on the Eclipse where as on my Wave (which I use for on set stuff/ mobile lab work) I’m quite a bit slower. I had just as many issues with the MC Color as I did the Wave just different. There where pros and cons to both and ultimately I chose the Wave for mobile stuff because of the plug and play support and it’s almost universally excepted by other grading applications.

Its a matter of taste, but they both are more of compromise than an actual tool.
The navigation on the MC is ultra complicated, clever, yes, but hard to be fast.
The balls are light, the rings are great, but the latency is the same, for all, i mean all, panels.
Especially the transport jog is , well, not really useful.
The MC has other qualities , like working with Avid, Smoke or Color.
The Wave is more a workhorse and after doing a couple of moths work I have grown into it.
Ok, if you get a good deal on selling it, go for it, but it more like trading a Seat for a Skoda.
The Audi (Eclipse) is double the price and we all now we secretly wish for the Veyron 🙂

I personally have not had that issue with my wave. Two questions for you, have tried messing with the sensitivity? I know I had to mess with it to make it comfy for grading for me.

Also perhaps there’s an issue with your USB connection?
