Show track v1 when a clip is on v2
Posted by Robin Erard on August 5, 2011 at 5:42 amHello,
I’m working for a splitscreen music video.
Is there a way to show a clip on track v1 when there is a clip on track v2 (or v3…) ?
Until now, I go to conform and active and desactive tracks. Is there a shortcut for that.

So I second the request, a function to jump the visible top track would be splendid.A slice of color…

August 5, 2011 at 7:31 amIf unmix doesn’t work for whatever reason, here’s a hack idea:
On clips you’d like to mute, create an new unconnected mode. Hook it up to the source image. Add an alpha output, and connect the node to that. Now, if you invert the key on that node it will make it transparent.
You can either enable/disable that node to toggle the clip, or invert key on that node. Inverting key might be better because it won’t mess you up when doing enable/disable all on a grade.
Not elegant but it should work!

Oh Robin, do you need to play them or just look at the lower ones ?
If so, just select the lower green block in the timeline.A slice of color…

Thank’s all for your help.
I need to play them. Then the idea of Vladimir is a good idea.
But, that’s true, it could be good to be able to do that in “clip” mode with a special shortcut.

August 5, 2011 at 12:11 pmyou could do this hack in track mode, giving a quicker mute whole track than going to the conform page or per clip muting
MUTE and SOLO track buttons in the color page would be nicer though
