    I have figured it out.. You have to go ahead and bring the item you are going to be cutting away from into the comp and above the masked solid layer, It has to be visible (though you can turn the opacity to Zero. Then set the masked solid to inverted alpha matte .. then and only then can you select multiple points.. makes rotoscoping easy… very impractical that you can’t select multiple points at anytime

    I said render because the after effects help states: to create a rla or rpf file with camera data in 3dsmax, save your rendering in rpf format with coverage, zdepth, alpha channels enabled? I’m not a 3dmax guy.. so do i have to render? or can I just export out tha rla file?

    well.. i came up with a solution of cutting the comp in half then duplicating, reversing then tagging it on the end.. it now “swings”. I am still interested in finding out if there is a way to loop random expressions..
