last night i was rotoscoping by creating a black solid and drawing a mask using the pen tool. I would then skip ahead in the timeline drag select a box around multiple points and move them .. today I open the same project and when i try to drag select .. It deselects.. I have tried everything. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I have figured it out.. You have to go ahead and bring the item you are going to be cutting away from into the comp and above the masked solid layer, It has to be visible (though you can turn the opacity to Zero. Then set the masked solid to inverted alpha matte .. then and only then can you select multiple points.. makes rotoscoping easy… very impractical that you can’t select multiple points at anytime
