recovering info from corrupted file?
I’m using AE7 I have a project file that gets a %100 load then locks up.
I can open any other file. I’m assumming the file has been corrupted.. is there anyway to recover any info out of the file itself? -

Did you try importing the bad AEP into a new project?
Or, did you try opening an earlier auto-saved version of the bad project?
Aside from that, I don’t know of anyone outside of Adobe who can save a corrupted project. Within Adobe, you might have to call tech support.

renamed folders.. and narrowed it down to the audio track .. thanks though

Regarding audio, it’s not a good idea to import MP3 or other heavily compressed formats into AE. You should use something like QT Pro to convert them to AIFF or WAV …
… if that’s relevant to your situation. 🙂
