  • recovering info from corrupted file?

I’m using AE7 I have a project file that gets a %100 load then locks up.
I can open any other file. I’m assumming the file has been corrupted.. is there anyway to recover any info out of the file itself?

Did you try importing the bad AEP into a new project?

Or, did you try opening an earlier auto-saved version of the bad project?

Aside from that, I don’t know of anyone outside of Adobe who can save a corrupted project. Within Adobe, you might have to call tech support.

Regarding audio, it’s not a good idea to import MP3 or other heavily compressed formats into AE. You should use something like QT Pro to convert them to AIFF or WAV …

… if that’s relevant to your situation. 🙂
