Hello,

Please be more specific. “it does not accept my Video Card” is vague. Does Resolve give an error? Does it not completely load?

This is a known issue on some versions of Media Composer. I don’t see where you mentioned what version you are on, but I believe this is fixed in 2020.10.

Did you render? Also, that drive is slow by today’s standards. I would Transcode the entire timeline to a smaller picture size such as 720 and a lowend DNX codec.

I have a 2009 which is a 4,1 and I have flashed it to 5,1 so macOS and everything thinks it is a 2010.

I also have 16 running but I am on 10.13.6. I would go to 13 before doing anything else. Also make sure you are running the NVIDIA web driver.

What happened when you tried to install the CUDA driver? Specifics help us help you.

Mine is also not standard in that I have an PCI SSD for the OS drive and a GTX 1080Ti. Media is on a RAID 0 array, which backed up to LTO tape.

Was it working previously? Have you tried installing an earlier version of Resolve?

Sometimes you have to pick which bugs you can live with. I have found this particularly true over the years with BMD’s drivers. Speaking of which, what if you bypass the US4K by uninstalling the Desktop Video/drivers?

Yeah, I have long suspected it was only a handful or less of folks.

FYI, from you initial post:

Check the bit? Do you not know what is the source footage ?

Depending on your hardware and version of MC, you can normally just use the Source Browser and link the footage. On newer hardware there is no need to import and of course import can be slow. If need be you can transcode to an Avid codec after linking. Linking and transcoding is still faster than importing I believe.

And if it’s real 4K, not UHD you will need the Studio version of Resolve. The standard free version of Resolve only works up to UHD.
