Import quality MC
I haven’t imported anything for ages in to MC. Now I need to do a video at home, in the best possible quality. No Online or Grade. These are my options, which is the highest quality? Only a short film so I have lots of memory. Thanks

What is your source footage? Normally, for typical HD sources, you would likely opt for DNxHD-HQ (or ProRes HQ). Unless the source is >8 bit, then you might choose DNxHD-HQX.

Check the bit? Do you not know what is the source footage ?
Depending on your hardware and version of MC, you can normally just use the Source Browser and link the footage. On newer hardware there is no need to import and of course import can be slow. If need be you can transcode to an Avid codec after linking. Linking and transcoding is still faster than importing I believe.
