Never mind, I should have looked in the PP Playback preference pull down before responding to your post. That helped! Thanks!

Thanks for your response. Do you mean PP preferences or the DeckLink preferences?

April 15, 2014 at 9:43 pm in reply to: Double Checking about Remote Grading

I am also wondering how the remote grading works on the “client” side. In particular, if I am using my Cubix with 2 GTX 570s and the client is using a laptop hooked up to a firewire drive that contains the footage, what is the response / playback like on the client side? Is it smooth 24 fps like in my suite? Or is it sluggish because the laptop isn’t as robust in regards to GPU and RAM, etc.

Is it still true about needing a full version of Resolve to do remote grading? The Lite version won’t work?

In Resolve 10 there is no need to duplicate timelines anymore. Under the View menu you can select show current clip with handles. This allows you to track out shapes to your user selectable handle length. Then you can deselect it to go back to your timeline that displays the clips without handles.
In project settings under Editing you can specify the project handle length. This is a major improvement!!! IMHO

Great news. Thanks for the continuous updates. I have yet to pull the trigger because I am on Lion. (10.7.5) Do you know of anyone using Resolve 10 on Lion with any success?

Also, make sure your timeline is unlocked. If it is not, “Force conform” will not be available (greyed out).
