Make sure the layers are release in the Layers palette (not idented) otehrwise use the release layers command in AI layers pallete and pull them out of the nested set.

Suggest folowing

1. Strip color out by desaturating
2. Run a Levels adjsutment and force the back and whites
3. Smart Sharpen the image
4. Use a Hue/Saturation adjustment Layer to Colorize image back to sepia tint (you can reuse the laer on multiple headlines to make them consistent.

You need to make sure that there is handles or overlap for a clip, If you set the out point too far for a clip, there will not be the needed frames for the transition.

An Hour of DV is about 12 GB… so if you have several hours… that’s 60 – 100 GB…. Burning DVDs is impractical…. and VERY time-consuming. You are better off going to ht e store and picking up a slae FireWire drive to transfer the footage.

What software needs to read it
How long is clip
What is original material acquired in

Adjust patching so only channel one is connected

Also… pan audio on clip center You can do this in the Audio tab for clip or under Modify
