    hey guys-

whenever i select an area, then use copy + paste, the new layer is offset a little bit from it’s original position.

any ideas why this happens, or how i could change it?

    thanks!

so it looks like photoshop finds the middle of your selected area, and pastes your selection there. I wish there was a work-around to stop this from happening, but that’s the score right now.

Cmd+J will ‘jump a copy” to the layer above
