Well, it’s just easier to use expansion instead of mask shape sometimes.
And sometimes you have lots of mask shape keyframes and you just want to expand the mask without tweaking all those shape keys.

I meant to say that the rotation should stop at 45 degrees, not continue to rotate 45 degrees for very 2 secs.

Wow, that is really cool.
I’m using an Adjustment Layer to do the color correct using levels.
At first I put the point control on the layer I wanted to correct, but the rgb values didn’t update as I manipulated my Adj, layer.
So i put the PT control on the Adjustment layer after the CC effects and it works like a charm.
Now I want to explore other uses of point control.
I wish AE would incorporate some color sampler tools in future updates.

Because I have other layers in the comp that add to the index number and I was just wondering if there was a way to reference just the layer below (or above) for that matter so that if I were to reorder layers then the relationship between a layer and its below (or above) would remain the same.

It seems that it happens any time a new preview is invoked.
Now its got my beach ball spinning… not responding- force quit… thank goodness for auto save.
Gonna try changing multiprocessing settings.
That works!

I get this error constantly, and it seems completely randomly.
Purging every time I have to do a RAM preview for a client is ridiculous.
Also it seems that sometimes the length of my ram previews get shorter and shorter.
On a brand new MAC with 8gig ram I should be able to preview more than 4 seconds on a SD comp.
No footage involved just PSD and AI, and AE solids, shapes etc.

I just quit and relaunched AE now I can preview the full 10 secs.

It’s very hard to pin down what is causing it.
