Yes, just make an .aiff with I-Tunes, with Compressor or exporting QT. 48 Khz, 16 bits.
Any way all the .aiff, waw, etc (PCM) should play fine in FC even being 44Khz. Try setting the Audio Playback prefernces to low.

The DSR-11 is one of the worst machines ever manufactured by SONY (I’ve got one).
Try to capture something with i-movie. If its works with i-movie, then is a problem of FC. If is doesn’t works, then is a problem of the video desk.

The presets (film-looks) for MB for FC come in a FC project call “Look Suite 2 Favorites”. You must open that project and one of your self and drag these presets to the favorites of your new open project.

AE works great the same in PC or MAC. The advantage I find in MAC is that you can import and export all the codecs supported by QT and the choice you;ve got in PC is quite short because its only accept the few codecs supported by AVI.

To deal with the interlacing problems, the solution is an external interlaced monitor (ie TV).
Any way, before to send to Compressor, first make sure that your output from FC is correct. If you are not sure about the field order, before to export as field dominance NONE, deinterlace the footage that you have set in your logo. Then on export you got a progresive film. When you apply your set-up in Compressor keep the same field dominance of your movie.
And do not trust too much the preview in Compressor. Some times the image looks horrible in the computer screen but the final DVD looks great. If you want to get a good transcoding PAL-NTSC you must set Compressor in MANUAL FRAME CONTROL that make the process killing slow.

If you don’t want your footage being resized just keep the original size when you select the options on exporting. What Liam El Terrible is sugesting you is a good option.

Right. FC has nothing to do the DVDs regions. You must to decide that in DVDSTPro. You can choos the regions to be playable or set region free.

Yes they are a classic and you can get many of them free if you got an old FC 3 because they used to come in the bundled.

Fc is not the best program to work with stills. If you want to get something nice and without headaches go to AE or Shake.
But if you have work with stills in FC you shoul have a look to an article of Graeme Nattress “Video Levels in FC” . You can get it from the website of the LAFCUG.
