To deal with the interlacing problems, the solution is an external interlaced monitor (ie TV).
Any way, before to send to Compressor, first make sure that your output from FC is correct. If you are not sure about the field order, before to export as field dominance NONE, deinterlace the footage that you have set in your logo. Then on export you got a progresive film. When you apply your set-up in Compressor keep the same field dominance of your movie.
And do not trust too much the preview in Compressor. Some times the image looks horrible in the computer screen but the final DVD looks great. If you want to get a good transcoding PAL-NTSC you must set Compressor in MANUAL FRAME CONTROL that make the process killing slow.
