Seems to work on my end. you just have to select the eyedropper on the left of the tools and be in either qualifier or curves mode.

    2) When you load a grade into memory, it also keeps the zoom and pan info. why is that? Can I load a grade without the zoom and pan direction?

You can right click on the memory and say “Display node graph”. In the top right you click “apply color”. This will apply the grade without the PTZR and if you had already adjusted the PTZR, it will leave it as is.

I have the same specs as you said above.
resolve on Mac V.8.0 on OS 10.6.8
MC color Firmware 1.1.7 with Eucontrol 2.6.0.

Not sure what else could be different. You are apple tabbing so that Eucontrol and Davinci are the top 2 apps? its only thing i can think of.

Thats really odd. I found 50 to be too sensitive. Ive set mine to 30 and that is comfortable.

  • I have the transport hooked up as well as MC color. The jog and shuttle do not work. But you can map any keyboard shortcut to all of the buttons on the transport. The MC color does not have a button for FF or RR, But i have the ring of buttons around the shuttle mapped to
    Previous Scene—Fast Reverse—Reverse—Stop—Play—FF—Next Scene

Im posting how i have my transport mapped.

you need to check that you have Eucontrol running and it is the second to top app running (after davinci)
EDIT: oh do you mean the numbers on the panel screen, then yes, they dont change. we’ll see if this will be implemented later.

  • Mc color is great. I’m also running the mc transport ( technically unsupported) but can map a lot of the keyboard shortcuts to it.
Drag append grades is cool. Try it.
Transfer modes are awesome. I can get realtime 2 layer prores 422.
I’ve been testing adding a black layer on top, then giving it a transfer mode, then adjust the black node to a color for interesting looks. When they get the color bars working, I request being able to generate a solid color
I agree hue vs hue is really quick and covienient because you are really dragging a qualifier and adjusting the correction at the same time.

Your end of things should be ok. For avid you don’t import the mxf, you have to place it in the right folder in the avid media files folder. Then use the media tool to place the new clips in your bin. It’s a huge time saver.

They officially are only supporting the MC Color. I have the Transport hooked up as well but jog wheel does not work. I do use the Transport and you can map any Resolve keyboard shortcut to all the keys using EUcontrol including the number keypad. This gives you a bunch of extra buttons. We’ll have to see when the 8 final release is out and see if they give us any extra “eucon” commands that arent defined by a keyboard shortcut.

So i believe that it is due to a quicktime issue. I tested all the textures and the stills are fine. It is a quicktime movie thats being used as a texture that is changing. When i compared the different computers, we have a split between versions of quicktime. I will upgrade them all and see what happens.
