    It’s meant for small holes
If there is camera movement or rig movement sometimes you want the Process Mode to be Filled Hole Only and you add some color noise a bit and composite back over original.

If you have 5 frames with the matte you can send to techsupport@revisionfx.com for visual inspection as I possibly imagine something else then what you have as a problem.

time goes by… then AE support wakes up… can’t figure it out
OK I play some more… then we notice this odd non-interlaced message in the project window when we select the PNG RGBA in Interp Footage Lower Field… so I rerender the PNG16 as TIFF16 RGBA with fields and replaced the PNG footage with that and now it works

so I refiled to adobe as bug with PNG format with fields when you use Frame Blending in render settings in a project over 8 bits…

for now workaround is use TIFF16

You need to provide a matte of where the problem area is (if you burn the hole in alpha channel, zero alpha is hole)

    eg:
    1) draw a mask 4 points rectangle that covers the bad area
    2) set Mask to Subtract
    3) set (HOLES)-White ON (check box)
    4) set process mode to Filled
    5) set Method to Blended

If I understand your question properly 🙂

    For your information,
FCE might share the same source code as FCP but lags some dot versions before what makes it in FCP comes to FCE
So at some point Twixtor FxPlug will start to work in FCE (the changes Apple did so it works will be part of the build) – At that point we will add FCE as supported application.

The honest short answer is not right now, and you are not the first to ask about it

Note there is a way to do simple version of that if you have Twixtor PRO and RE:Map Displace (that can take MV as input). By simple I mean making a tatoo move on a cheek when someone laughs or an arm bending so the tatoo stays lock to where the muscle creates a deformation.

More complicated texture sliding won’t work as you would expect.

If you have a project and you know how to do expressions in Combustion, I can outline step by step what to do for the simple case – write to techsupport@revisionfx.com
