Hi, i’m trying to use Re:Fill in AE to remove a vertical scratch. I’ve read the manual, but I don’t get it, I don’t know how to use the plug-in, anyone can help?

    Thanx in advance

    Ivan

You need to provide a matte of where the problem area is (if you burn the hole in alpha channel, zero alpha is hole)

    eg:
    1) draw a mask 4 points rectangle that covers the bad area
    2) set Mask to Subtract
    3) set (HOLES)-White ON (check box)
    4) set process mode to Filled
    5) set Method to Blended

    It’s meant for small holes
If there is camera movement or rig movement sometimes you want the Process Mode to be Filled Hole Only and you add some color noise a bit and composite back over original.

If you have 5 frames with the matte you can send to techsupport@revisionfx.com for visual inspection as I possibly imagine something else then what you have as a problem.
