You can only capture one feed at a time. You would need a second system to capture the second camera at the same time. Then move you capture files back to the first system for editing.

Hopfully this doean’t mean that Apple won’t be shipping printed manuals with the app. That would suck. I hate printing out 1868 pages myself.

I’m guessing this pro app update is for 10.4 and 10.3.9 only and I should not update if I’m staying at 10.3.8

My K2 system on 10.3.8 is the most stable and crash free I’ve ever had. I won’t be going anywhere near FCP 5 and Tiger untill at least the end of the summer. I’ll leave all the headaches to you guys. Maybe I’ll put tiger on my powerbook though.

Not being able to copy, select, paste or move keyframes is my is one of my top three bitches about FCP. I haven’t seen FCP 5 yet. Someone please tell me it’s been addressed in 5. Who the hell needs dynamic RT. Fix the stuff that’s broken. This is basic editting 101 stuff. End of rant, have a nice day.

Long clips especially of the “capturenow” variety have been know to cause clip weirdness when doing speed changes.

I wouldn’t want to capture anything longer than about 30 minutes any way. Get a good book or but the ballgame on. It’s really the only way to do it

Just a thought. I am assuming that you will never go back to the original tapes to batch conform an edit. Why not forget about timecode and select non controlable device under device control. That way you can just manually press play on the deck and hit capture now. Any timecode or video hits are ignored, and it will capture for as long as you’ve set the capture limit for. You may want to back up the archive alter once it’s on the server. You could always lay the stuff out to a newer format.
