I too would really like to see this. They did prior to Resolve 8. I ‘m affraid this may not change which would be a damn shame. When you have one supplier selling the software and the hardware, this is what can happen.

Took your advice on preparation. Bought a 1TB Seagate drive for $49. and threw it it to the Mac Pro. Partitioned it in three segments. Followed the steps and bingo, ready and waiting. Thanks DRW.

Just the other day I used FCP log and transfer (EOS 5D plugin) on 173 5D clips without a hitch. It also added time of day timecode and reel numbers from the CF card numbers. I believe FCP is using compressor anyway.
