Can you see the “room space “in the shot? If so I’d not worry too much. I’ve certain ally heard much worse. It’s def the room life that is the difference not mics or axis. Does it not look in context with the pictures?
If you’re in a cathedral , the audio should resemble that space and not be too dead or the brain becomes distracted with the imbalance between eye and ear.
NBC I was only able to listen on my ipad as I’m out of the uk at moment

Sample rates mismatch or 1 device locked to a different speed than the other.

It us worth it- like everything in life that is eorth achieving it takes perseverance .
That said I’m surprised you think it’s so different.
We use CFO 7 at work and I long fir avid which in my opinion is much better, but they really are soon similar the differences are slight.

Ok . My opinion.
Is he right? Well the digital feeds may well be slightly better/ cleaner than the analogue ones. Will you hear the difference? I doubt it.
Digits ave no controls as they are a digital stream. You’d need to abe speakers that have a digital option for their input where there will be a volume control.
Sooner or later you need the audio to be analogue, as your ears are analogue.
