Hi All, this is evident when the application can’t find a Resolve dongle regardless of platform or drivers. If you reload the official release software and insert the dongle and still see the problem please send your logs to davincihelp@blackmagic-design.com, the guys there can guide you to a resolution.

This looks like a good config and should perform well for HD.

I think its a reasonable idea to stabilize the material in the first node, or at least early if the first node is used to balance the grade.

In Resolve you can create a similar effect with PowerWindows. Save the effect when you like it to your PowerGrade library so you can use it for all projects.
With Resolve 8.0, you can now export stills with the color grading metadata in the form of a DRX file. A DaVinci Resolve eXchange file will be saved in the same folder as the still. If you copy both to another system, i.e. from on set to post, you will be able to move the still frame and the node graph that use used to make that look, without the need to export the whole project.
When Resolve imports stills it looks for an associated DRX and if there is one loads that metadata with the still.

The default with 8.0 is a clean display.

Double click on the scope image to reveal or hide controls.

Within the media pool, select the clip that the matte needs to be associated with, now in the clip details window, select the matte, right click and select, …. Matte…
You will see in the media pool the image clip now has an indicator showing an associated file.
Now in node graph, right click to add matte, link as needed.With 8.0 you can use single channel or 3 channel mattes.

Resolve needs 1920×1080 screen res min. And is best on 1920×1200 or more. You could try the 15″ with an external display but we have not run the new 15″ MBP our self.
