A couple of feature questions for Resolve users
Posted by Adam Claude jones on July 2, 2011 at 3:47 pmI have a few questions for users out there.
Can Resolve import mattes from compositing software like Shake, Nuke and Fusion?
Does Resolve have any built in relighting functions similar to Lustre?
What about anything similar to the Rays function to simulate for example a flashlight beam that Lustre has?
Thanks!

Can anybody comment on the Lustre features?

July 3, 2011 at 9:42 pmAre my questions about the Lustre features not valid? The answers certainly don’t seem to be on the Da Vinci page.

July 4, 2011 at 3:56 amThere are no window shape presets for that sort of thing yet. But its really easy to just draw the shape of the window you need with “node+pcw”.
Seen similar features for preset window shapes in the baselight and although they are quite cool, its probably just as easy to draw them yourself.

July 4, 2011 at 9:02 amI asked, because you keep asking for things, that don’t make any sense. Lustre doesn’t have any relighting tools in a traditional sense, like something Smoke or Flame has. Having an ability to draw some shapes and animating them is not anything special. Pretty much any color grading software can do that.
