    April,

Do a web search for video stablizer and you may be surprised of how many links come up. Some cost $$$$ (or more) while others cost 2$ (home made). I personally own a glidecam 2000 (do a search for their link) but heard some great feedback for “Spider Brace’ (6$) https://www.spiderbrace.com/ (Your best bet for the money).

I guess if you really want, you can create a new sequence and then crop your project sequence into it and scale it that way, BUT… typically, people don’t do that! When taping, always keep in mind there will be some “safe margins” and “safe title” areas. One of the reasons why people should not rescale is because not all TV is made the same viewable size either! How about HD nowadays? What if someone decide to play it from the projector? Just some thoughts.

  • What Steven was saying is, DVD has a lower quality than DV! and it is not meant for editing!! So, if you are keeping them as a personal viewing, that’s fine. If not, you want to keep them in DV (or miniDV in this case).

  • What Flash program do you have? They usually offer export other than .swf, e.g. avi. To keep the alpha transparency, then, you need to have something like Swf2Avi program (like Aanarav suggested).

Thank you Steve, I never looked into that “audience” option.

I was not aware of there was an option for “captures with handles”. I will check it out. But it happens always with Video+Pictures combo. Video and Pics have long long duration each… Thanks again.

BTW, with handles, would that increase the size of the file?

    Ken,
The best way is to use SWF2AVI (search on the net), it is only $25. import the .swf into SWF2AVI, export as .tga sequences (with transparency), then import into Premiere. This is the best way to do flash, including Titles!!!! You get awesome animated titles!!!!!

  • Thanks Dex. I appreciate your insight. How do you do a “Edge Thin” or “Edge Feather” in PPro, by the way?
