I have a 3d flash animation that I would like to use on a DVD. Is there anyway to convert the flash file to a video file? I have tried Camtasia screen capture and for a short period is seemed to work okay, but took too many resources on my so-so PC to convert a full minute and maintain a 29.97 framerate.

Does anyone know how to convert it to DVD quality? I think a computer with ALOT of available resources might be able to convert it with a screen capture program. If that’s the case, would anyone with a sufficient computer be willing to try for me? Any other ideas?

    Thanks
    Tom

What Flash program do you have? They usually offer export other than .swf, e.g. avi. To keep the alpha transparency, then, you need to have something like Swf2Avi program (like Aanarav suggested).

Ulead MSP 7.0 or 8.0 will accept a swf file in it’s timeline which you can then export as avi / mpeg2 as you wish. The 30 day trial should do the trick.

Good ideas. It seems both Macromedia MX or Ulead will work for converting it to AVI. However when I try either the output video is WAY faster than it is in flash format. The framerate of the flash video is 40 frames. What can I do to exported it so it plays slower as it does in flash format?

    export in 30fps.
