Or make it small enough that can not be reproduce to a DVD. e.g. 320×240 (usually this is what the web video is anyway.)

George, I did not see you answer to the other posters on your Jan 13 post re: is there other capture card that you are using to bring in the DV? Or you are capturing thru a standard IEEE firewire port? When you turn off your XL1, then turn it back on while connected to the pc, does it bring up a dialog box to ask if you want to open it via various programs (including premiere)?

    George,
1st of all, what’s wrong w/ your PPro? Why not try to fix that since you already have it? 2nd what are you looking for to accomplish? Premiere Element might be what you need.

Great work. Would you check the 2nd link to see if there is any typo? I am not able to access.

    All,
I had the same scepticism, however, after viewing some of the “supposedly shot w/ edit footages” of this cam, I am wondering to want to give it a try. Yes, it may not be good for editing, professional use, but for caring on the trip, well, can’t beat that, right? Low light quality is not too bad either. Well, I have done some readings, mostly bashing this Cam from the pro, but from the consumer level, or even some prosumers, it is certainly a little toy to have.

1st, I assume you are talking about getting a Camcorder, right? Have you Consider Sanyo HD1? or HD1a?

    Doug,
It looks pretty good on the web, however, I love to see more of the original resolutions… I downloaded the .mov file 28MB, however, it is missing some codec. Can you tell me where I need to download more Quicktime codec? The QT player tells me it is not found on their server.

  • ok, I did try XP 64 for a couple of days and then went back to XP Pro because it can not recognize one of my HD because the controller was not in their support list. I did some simple test, the render speed has improve 5-8%, but not really noticeable for small projects. Premiere 1.5 runs fine under XP64.

As far as AMD, I used to have Intel, and then for the price switched to AMD. Now, it has been 6-7 years since, if not longer. I have not have any problem with AMD at all. In fact, I think for my experience, it is more stable (w/ Premiere). Again, this was many years ago w/ Intel and Premiere has changed a lot as well. As far as render speed, I think AMD is very competitive as well. The next system I buy, I may go back to Intel just to see the difference, if any.

Greg, Here is how I worked around it… I type everything in MS word, then Copy and paste to the Titler, then all fonts can be changed afterward within the Titler, isn’t that weird!! But, that the only way I can get it to work.
