Can anyone recommend the best way to import a flash(.swf) animation into PremierePro. The project will be 720×486 on the Axio.

Your best bet is to export from something else…

    My guess is After Effects…

I know you can see the axio codecs there…

the question is if it can read a SWF file…

QuickTime reads SWF up to Flash 5 or 6, at least on the Mac, so After Effects should be able to read it to.

    Ken,
The best way is to use SWF2AVI (search on the net), it is only $25. import the .swf into SWF2AVI, export as .tga sequences (with transparency), then import into Premiere. This is the best way to do flash, including Titles!!!! You get awesome animated titles!!!!!

If you have the Flash program and can open the .swf in flash you can export it back out of flash as an uncompressed AVI. The AVI can then be imported to other programs.
