OK. I’ve just rotoscoped my first 60 frames or so in AE. Not so painful after all.
However, I seem to have lost the ability to access my audio render from the keypad function “.” which is very odd. It was working a second ago. I guess I’ll trash prefs and reboot (I’m on a Mac).

I’ve had errors of a different nature. Zax would be working fine until one day the project I am working in will just crash. I tried removing the Plug-In but that didn’t work. I eventually reinstalled AE “sans” Zax and was able to open the project agin.
A little buggy Still I’d say.

That you very much. That did the job. I’d still like to know what preset I used. Seems odd to have to import an old preject every time I would like to use this effect. I suppose I should have written it down.

Maybe I’m just thick but in the Animation Preset function, there is no Favorite folder. Whatever effect your trying to save seems to be thrown into a random folder. That makes it not so obvious when a few days later you want to find that effect but have to snoop through a bunch of folders to find the preset.
Have I missed something?

No. I have one invigorator project with several AI objects in it. When the objects are spaced out, it lacks some realism because there are no shadows. I’m sure I have just missed some toggle somewhere but I have turned on shadows for the light and the layer (as well as a few other combos).

Well I like it. Very slick. Looks like you guys have a ton of fun. I watched it at 5:50 in the morning so it downloaded pretty fast.

Hey Vinnie,
All my layers are set to best and the comp resolution is set to full. Will AE cast a shadow from a Zax layer onto another Zax layer if both layers have custom layer maps? I don’t see why not. Do I have to use a special camera / light combo or what?

OK, so I may have over reacted. I have since found the tutorial I was looking for. The problem was I didn’t know the authors name or the tutorial name. I just remember a cool tutorial I wanted to revisit and I had no idea how to get back to it. Since then a calmer head has prevailed.
I still think a lynching is a litttle severe though.
