I’m not too sure how to tackle this one. I have a video clip that I have used a stack of filters on. What I have done is desaturated the clip and used a leave color filter to highlight a logo on a hat. I now want to create brilliant blue eyes. I am thinking I need to create a new layer and mask the eyes somehow but I really am having trouble wrapping my head around this one. Should I export to PS and rotoscope the hundreds of frames (UG) or is there a somewhat more simplistic method?

My clip starts close up on the eyes and then pulls back rapidly to reveal the head and a bit of the torso. I’ve done a still in photoshop that looks great but of course it’s easy with a single frame. What is the best way to take this on? I’ve been using AE for a while now but I’m not an expert by any stretch of the imagination so be gentle.

    Thanks in advance.

OK. I’ve just rotoscoped my first 60 frames or so in AE. Not so painful after all.

However, I seem to have lost the ability to access my audio render from the keypad function “.” which is very odd. It was working a second ago. I guess I’ll trash prefs and reboot (I’m on a Mac).
