    to clarify…

Originally I thought the Levels Effect was causing the problem so I removed the levels effect and rendered the timeline to find the same problem with the banding.

Here are the tech specs. Hopefully this helps.

    System/Software
    HP Z400 Workstation
    Matrox MX02LE
    Windows 7 Profesional – Service Pack 1
    12Gb RAM
    Adobe Production Bundle Suite 5.5
    NVideo Quadro 4000

    Sequence Preset
    Matrox – HD 1080i @ 29.97

    Source Media Vid Track 02
    After Effects composition – 1080 x 1920 @ 29.97
    lower third scrolling text
Rendered as – Matrox AVI uncompressed RGB + Alpha

    Source Media Vid Track 01
Line Cut – Panasonic HS400 Switcher
    Recorder – Panasonic P2 Recorder AJ-HPD2500P
    AVC-I 100 @ 1080i 60

In PP I have source media on track 1 and AE lower third scrolling text on Track 2 (above track 1). Everything looks prestine on PP program monitor and on external production monitor. Export timeline and severe banding occurs.

I have attempted exporting AE file in a number of different file types without any difference. I have also attempted exporting PP sequence in a number of different files types without success.

    Sorry for the delayed response.

I use Premiere Pro on Windows 7 with Matrox MX02. Matrox seems to work well with Prores 422 and ProresHQ. Not sure about proress444

I am on PC. Purpose of export is to generate bluray disc.

within MICROSOFT AVI now I can see matrox options. So it is normal for the presets to be greyed out?

In our environment I have 2 types of source media files that I edit. Kipro and P2(Panasonic 500 cam and Panasonic 2500 deck)

I am trying to export those files to any of the presets and the video is always greyed out. The tests that I have done seem to allow for the export both audio and video. I am just wondering why video is greyed out.

    Jeff

Thanks for the heads up on the Matrox export settings. I did not notice them. I went straight to the H264 encode.

Now that I know they are there I have gone to use them and video is disabled on matrox bluray and matrox Mp4. I know I purchased the MAX board and the Matrox unit has the MAX logo on it. Is this an indicator that the Board is not activated in some way?

Yes I do have the max board and the computer is new. Sounds like I am getting the same results as you on blurry.

It is a new system and i Just wanted to be sure my system was performing properly.

    Thanks
