  • video greyed out on Matrox presets – MX02

I seem to be able to export video using the matrox presets but the video tab is greyed out. I have attached a pic for reference.

    Is this the norm?

I am also having issues with matrox jobs whereby the timeline will be playing and I will hear a small dropout in audio and then the timeline turns red. If I mute and unmute the video track the red line will go away. I have noticed that this only occurs when my video and audio are coming off the same drive. Any of this sound familiar?

What happens when you click on: “Match Sequence Settings”?

What kind of clip were you expecting in your export? You’d want something like your camera original, like P2. I don’t think a Matrox sequence preset can deliver that.

    Hi Paul,

Let’s back up a moment. Are you on Mac or PC? What is the purpose of the Export?

If on the PC and you want to export a full-quality .avi (for editing/archiving), then choose MICROSOFT AVI as the format, then you will be allowed to choose the various Matrox presets.

In our environment I have 2 types of source media files that I edit. Kipro and P2(Panasonic 500 cam and Panasonic 2500 deck)

I am trying to export those files to any of the presets and the video is always greyed out. The tests that I have done seem to allow for the export both audio and video. I am just wondering why video is greyed out.

I am on PC. Purpose of export is to generate bluray disc.

within MICROSOFT AVI now I can see matrox options. So it is normal for the presets to be greyed out?

    Hi Paul,

I see the issue – you chose “Matrox MP4” as the format. For Blu-ray encoding using Matrox MAX, use the “Matrox 264 (Blu-ray)” preset.

Matrox MP4 is for web encodes.

    Thanks
