Posted by Paul Rozon on August 7, 2010 at 3:12 pmAre there any users consistantly using prores 422 with CS4 Premiere Pro on Vista.
Looking at ki-pro as part of a pc workflow.

August 9, 2010 at 7:07 amHmmm…I never got a workstation up and running with Vista actually…abandoned it and went Windows 7. I run ProRes on my PC/Premiere Pro machine fairly often…it’s not a problem…,you need a plan to master it if they want ProRes delivered…the KiPro and an HDSDI card works very well for that.

August 9, 2010 at 4:54 pmNo need to deliver prores.
I am looking at 2.5 hour timelines. Have you experienced good, bad or otherwise with long timelines prores?
Is it fair to assume that the lack of response to this thread is an indicator that very few people are using prores on PC. Are you aware of anyone else other then yourself with prores on PC?

August 9, 2010 at 5:59 pmsearch for my name and Adobe TV…something like “event DVD”
I did a 90 minute ProRes timeline…720p60 and dynamic linked to Encore and authored it.
How many people are using it? I have no idea…I think if we make t into an election, most of us throughout the industry have our own quirky workflow items…
I know I’m not the only guy who works cross-platform from time to time.
I’ve used a KiPro before as well…excellent box.

September 26, 2011 at 2:19 amWhen I install the Apple ProRes decoder on my PC it says I already have a newer version installed. But I still cannot see a set of MOV files provided to me. I can hear them, but not see them. Any ideas?

December 9, 2011 at 11:05 pmDear sir,
Could you please elaborate as to how one may be able to use Prores 422HQ or ProRes 4444 for editing on a Windows 7 64bit PC for Premiere Pro CS5?I have been reading up a bit about using prores on premiere but all in vain.

I use Premiere Pro on Windows 7 with Matrox MX02. Matrox seems to work well with Prores 422 and ProresHQ. Not sure about proress444
