FCPX, Motion, Compressor, Logic Pro X, Resolve = $1600. That’s your Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, Speedgrade comparison line. And you get Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign as well as others that maybe you use and maybe you don’t. Whatever the case at $600 a year that’s 2.66 years of all those tools compared to the scope of what you get from Apple/BlackMagic only.

If footage is missing Premiere will give you a list of everything in that state and then just pointing it to one it will exhaust that location finding everything it can. Then you move on to the next. Don’t be concerned what the location name of the original was. Premiere is only looking for where the file is now, not where it was on another machine.

You can add external metadata to clips inside Prelude. Use Unassociated Metadata.

If you maintain the folder structure you should only have to locate one clip and the rest will fall into line. You’ll have to do it for each different folder, but shouldn’t have to do it for individual clips. The original location (D, Media, Raid) shouldn’t matter. The CC versions of Prelude allow you to transfer and rename footage without transcoding. The folder structure and original file names remain, but the clips appear in all Adobe apps with new names. I don’t think this functionality is available with CS6.

They’re not the same thing. Set to Frame Size is what you want here to maintain the native resolution inside the smaller frame. Scale to Frame doesn’t just resize your image but also rasterizes it to the new resolution. You want Set to Frame Size and yes, you need to rebuild your moves.

The only reason I can think of its not letting you is that its not making a good connection with the drive you want to get to.

Export the fixed version from Audition as its own .wav. Replace that on your timelines.

You can highlight multiple clips in the Project Bin and change them all at once with Source Settings. I suppose you could build a preset there for exactly what you want and change them all that way.

Try not exporting. Just send the clip to Audition.
