Shot a video that was one, long take. Later I cut and pasted the various segments of the training lessons into their own sequences within the same project. Then I realized the sound had too much noise. No problem, just right click on the source file and edit in Audition, right?

I did just that, round tripped back into PPcc, annnnd the audio is the same noisy stuff as before. Didn’t update. Can’t find a way to force premiere to re-read the audio. Kinda lost here.

I’ve been going through the sequences, and noise-busting all the clips and cuts from there. Very time consuming and tedious. The master, source files have already been cleaned up — how do I make use of the audio I fixed?

Export the fixed version from Audition as its own .wav. Replace that on your timelines.

Another way to force the audio to update is to hit Command + S in Audition to “save” the work you’re doing. Once you do that, you should be able to see the updated file in Premiere.

Also keep them both open when doing this to ensure that it works properly.

    Hope that helps.

I have run into this issue as well recently. I right click a clip and choose Edit in Audition, perform my edits and save in Audition (both PP and Audition remain open). Back in PP, I can see the audio clip has changed colors and reflects the new audio clip name, but the volume sounds lower and does not contain the edits I made in Audition.

In CC this seemed to work fine, in CC2014 I am now having this issue.

Does anyone have a suggestion of what I might be able to do to get this to work as intended?
